I am not totally blowing off losing weight and getting fit. I'm just going about it in a different, more relaxed way. Counting every calorie I eat is just not working for me right now. So, my eating plan is to pay attention to what I am eating and have more good, healthy meals in a week than I do, non-healthy meals. I'm making the transition slowly, and I am not beating myself up when I decide to have McDonalds for supper every now and then.
As for exercise, a friend and I have decided to train for a 5k in October. We got the form to fill out last week, where we would either do a one mile family fun run/walk, a 5k walk, or a 5k run. Neither of us could bring ourselves to fill out the form for the 5k yet...but we are working on it. We are only on week 2 of a 10 week program. And half way through this week, we discovered we weren't doing it quite right, so we are starting over next week. I'm also thinking of starting the Wii Active 30 day challenge again on my off days from running. Haven't actually started that yet though.
So that is all. I'll update progress reports and let you know when I actually do sign up for that 5k!
