I have ADD

I have decided that I have exercise ADD.  I cannot stick to an exercise routine for more than a couple of weeks and then something happens that I get out of my newly formed routine and then more exercise routine for me.

I have stood Mr. Greene up for about 2 weeks now and I'm ready to break up (it's not you's me...really).

So, now I'm pondering the Couch to 5k program.  I looked it up once and thought it would be a big PIA to watch the clock to walk for 90 seconds, then run for 30 seconds, then back to walking...blah blah blah...

Then I found out that they have the programs on as pod casts, so I can upload them to my iPod, put in my headphones and watching the clock.

Now if I could only find the cord to hook my iPod up to my computer.....

Challenge Day #11

What is my tummy getting noticeably smaller???  Heck no, that's just me sucking it in while I run in place with my much skinnier 'Mii' on the Active game.

No, I haven't really noticed any changes yet, other than some of the exercises may be a little less painful while I'm actually doing said motions, but I'm sure tomorrow will bring on the pain I'm used to.  Did I expect to see any changes at this point?  Not really, especially since I'm not really eating as healthy as I should be.

But I am commending myself on actually going down and working out tonight...I took two rest days, which is totally not part of the plan and will now extend my 30 day challenge to more like a 35-40 day challenge.  Usually I would just say screw it, I'm over's overrated...and continue to surf the web.  So, YAY ME for getting my butt away from the computer and getting my workout in.  (Also thanks to my hubby for making my taco dip for my work's tailgate party tomorrow so it's one less thing I had to to after my workout!)

Now, off to do one more productive thing tonight and fold some clothes.

I did it....

Ok, I did it....I went down and did the work out.  And bless their little hearts, the intro before the list of  exercises for the day said they were going to focus on arms this time and take it easy on the legs

....and then it started with side lunges...then reverse lunges....both of which I had to do twice...and let's not forget the squat (hold) then jump, disguised as in-line staking with "tricks" when you jump off the ramp.

I'm on to you Wii torture game....I'm not falling for your trickery!

On a more positive note, Wii fit told me that I have lost .9 pounds since last Monday.  Considering the way I have eaten in the last week, I'll take it!!

Challenge Day #8

Yes, I realize that I'm supposed to work out two days in a row and then take a rest day. However, there was absolutely NO WAY my butt muscles would have let me do another jumping squat or anything of that nature yesterday.  I did go for a short jog and a little bit longer walk with the little man yesterday.  And I did take the boys for a walk to the park and back today....

So, yes, today should be my workout day...needs to be my workout day....but it is 8:00 at night, and I DON'T WANNA!! *insert pouty face here*

I was also supposed to weigh in today since it is Monday, but since I didn't go to work today, I didn't realize it was Monday until about noon.  I weight in first thing in the morning, so noon was way too late.  Maybe I'll remember tomorrow.

Challenge Day #6

Yesterday was supposed to be a workout day, but I was exhausted and made it a rest day.  So, today I was back at it.  I seem to remember posting after my last workout that it was actually pretty easy.  And really, the next day I didn't feel too bad! 

Tonight, I paid for that easy workout.  I should have known a crappy workout was coming. The workout included a lot of jumping, landing in a squat or a lunge.  So not only are my thighs burning, but I can't breathe either.  Then I get a break and do a few arm exercises...and just when I at a normal rate of breathing time to start running or jumping again.

I have a feeling tomorrow Advil is going to be my best friend.

I need to track down my measuring tape so I can track my measurements as well.

Monday is my first official weigh in day.  Should be interesting since I haven't been too careful about what I have been eating this week.

Challenge Day #4

Today was Wii Active challenge day number four...yesterday was a rest day, and as you see from my post below, I took the word rest to heart.  Today seemed like an easy challenge day. I think it is because it focused mostly on upper body, and a little less on cardio.  Started with the side jumps's all coming back to me now...the hate love for some of these exercises.

Only tomorrow will tell how easy tonight's exercises truly were.

On a side note, I'm starting to think I'm catching a cold...which is usually a great excuse for me to stop exercising.  I WILL NOT LET A SIMPLE COLD BE AN EXCUSE TO QUIT THIS 30 DAY CHALLENGE.

To treadmill or not to treadmill?

That is the question.  Yes, I should probably get in a workout today, even though it is my rest day from the 30 day challenge.  But.......I have basically been up since 4:30 this morning.  It would probably do me just as much good to just go to bed.


I think the what the Dr. would order would be a good night sleep.
