I have a new determination that I haven't had in a while.  I'm not going to lose any weight, doing what I have been doing for the last 6 months.  If I would have stayed on the straight and narrow, or a least the wavy and midsized, instead of the winding, curvy and wide path; I could be approximately 2 months away from my goal weight!  Instead, I'm basically in the same place I was 6 months ago. I have maintained the weight pretty well, but have not lost any additional weight.  But this week, I decided that I am responsible for my weightless and no one else and if I really want to get rid of the weight, the belly, the fat legs...I have to work for it, and WORK HARD.  With both food and exercise.

With that, I stared tracking my meals again, using My Fitness Pal.  One of the groups I joined had a monthly challenge started for the month of June to help all of the members curb late night snacking, by making it a competition.  That has been one of my biggest downfalls, so I was thrilled to have found the challenge and joined.  So far it has been the prefect motivation for me =D

Tracking my calories has also motivated me to make sure to get some exercise in almost every day.

I feel like these two few things have already gotten the scale moving in the right direction again.  Weekends are always challenging, but I just need to stay busy and make sure to take the time to prepare healthy meals.
As you can see I got some exercise in today too.  I went for a walk/run tonight, but didn't put too much effort into it since I have a 5k to run in the morning.  I'm running something called "Run the Flood" and it is held every year near the anniversary of the huge flood around here in 2008.  It helps to raise money for flood recovery and the route goes through downtown, in parts that were hit pretty hard during the flood. This is my first year doing this particular 5k.

Excited for my 5k tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I'll beat my best time or not. This is supposed to be a flat track, so it shouldn't be as difficult as the last one I did, but I haven't been able to match that pace too many times, so we will see!
